Lancaster County 1859

This is my latest pattern that I just finished charting.  I put it in one of my favorite frames from my growing stash.  I use to collect wool but I think I might have moved on to frames; although I never pass up a good piece of unique wool.   This sampler only has four colors but has the drab look I so love...  it represents my county (Lancaster) and one of my favorite motifs (the deer).  Enjoy the day and do a little stitching while watching the game.  Please e-mail me if you would like to order this pattern.  Linda

Downton Abbey

I've heard so much talk of the series Downton Abbey I thought I would take some time and see what all the fuss is about.  I think I'm addicted.  It has been a one week and I'm on Season 2 Episode 7.  I calculate that I have watched over 15 hours of tv this week on my son's 7 inch Kindle.  I'm trying to get caught up so I can share in the office talk on Monday mornings....If you haven't had a chance to watch this series I highly recommend it.    Linda

I'm so Lucky

Well it's close to New Year's so I will get in one last post before then.  I participated in a Secret Swap with a couple of the girls I met at the Country Sampler in Spring Green, WI this fall.  I was lucky enough to get my exchange from Merrily Mistele and very special lady.  Her and her daughter sat next to me at the workshop and I was fortunate to have them take me under their wing on the very first day.  I just have to show you what she made for me; she does beautiful work.  This is a little punch needle Santa purse. I just love it.  Thanks so much Merrily.....I hope we can do Christmas in July ......  Linda

It's the Simple Things......

Four more days till Christmas..... I have some extra time so wanted to share some photos from this Christmas season at our house.  We had a great time today making gingerbread houses and staying away from the mall......makes you appreciate the Simple things.  It's even easier to enjoy when you have your shopping done, presents wrapped and cookies baked.  This would be something new for me this year.

Christmas Blessings Abound

I just spent an awesome week in Spring Green, Wisconsin at the Country Sampler (Boxwood & Berries) .  We stitched, hooked and ate.....it was great.  I met lots of great people and enjoyed every minute of my time there.  I will try and post some pictures when I get them downloaded. 

Since I was out of town, I had a little down time in the evenings so I was able to do a little charting.  Here is Christmas Blessings Abound.  I couldn't decide the name so I picked Patti's suggestion since she was the first to respond.  Loved them all...thanks so much.  Anyway this pattern is now available and you can e-mail me if you are interested.   Happy Stitching  Linda

Looking for a Name????

Anybody have any good ideas on what to name this pattern?  It's hard to be in Christmas mode when its 80 degrees out.....
