So I finally finished this punch needle pattern by Threads that Bind. I've been working on it for several months. I think I will be looking for another finishing method as I really did not enjoy whipping the edges with DMC. There has to be a better way. If anyone has suggestions, let me know.

Linda...I finish my pn pieces with wool yarn stitched to the edges...first, trim the backing and tack to the back of the pn, then I stitch a piece of wool to the back...next, a thick strand of wool yarn (or 2-3 strands if thinner) placed on the edge of the mat and stitched on with pearl cotton or floss...I hope this makes sense...
ReplyDeletecheck out the work of my friend Rebecca on eBay (seller ID goodwool) to see some examples of how this looks...
much faster than whipping the edges...
