Very Expensive Scrappy Quilt

I finally finished this scrappy quilt that I have been working on with some friends.  I got it all clipped this weekend and was excited to get it washed and dryed to see what the frayed edges looked like.  My advice would be to do this via the laundry mat.  I didn't and am now the proud owner of a new front load washing machine.  I guess the quilt was too heavy for my 15 year washing machine and burned the pump on it...so much for my inexpensive quilt!  Linda

  1. Great lookin' quilt! And, congrats on the new unexpected washer purchase! ;-) I had washed a rag quilt made from homespun in my home washer... soooooo many strings that if I wasn't there too scoop them out every once in awhile, I'm certain it would have clogged my washer into retirement too...
